Hello fans! I am excited to announce the release of the fifth song from my upcoming EP, Expanse. I call this new song “Street Fire” and it’s dedicated to the people in my new city (see the post about Relocation if you aren’t sure what I mean). But the true motivation is something very cool and deserves to be told.
If you do not know, I am a Christian and I am not afraid to admit it. One of the things I have always enjoyed is seeing the different ways that God can use my skills. I’ve never written a song for God, nothing could speak to him. But, this is close. You see, my family and I agreed to work with a great mission called “Freedom Fire” and they do some great outreach things in the Kansas City area. One of them is a Friday Night celebration where they invite almost 100 kids from an impoverished, inner-city apartment complex to a night of fun with face painting, sports, food, etc. I had the honor of volunteering at this event with my wife and kids. I was amazed at the positivity of the kids even though I saw the very dangerous and scary world they lived in. It reminded me that you can find a fire in people off the streets that burns brighter than many churches.
As a result, I combined hip hop elements, beats, trap and techno elements to this track. I actually wrote the beat the day after I saw the kids and I could just imagine them dancing to it. This is a track unlike any other track that I have made and it has a great mission! Check it out!
I think it’s safe to say that my decision to modify my style has paid off in massive dividends. I am happy to release my second track on my techno themed album. This is a sweet and calming track with some amazing melodies. I think the chorus of this song is probably the most amazing one I have ever made. It brought me to tears and I am not even lying.
I hope you enjoy… Take Flight.
Have I got a surprise for you! Check out a new song that I just dropped tonight! Wow… I can’t tell you how proud I am of this song!
This is celebrating a different sound… I am going straight up techno with this one and I am not apologizing for it. I also broke my normal tradition of using single word song names…

I just recently reviewed my accounting data for sales through my distributor. Honestly, it was sometimes painful to look at it because so little changed but I finally decided to go look at it. My look revealed some interesting facts.
- Even after being a published artist for over 6 years, I still haven’t even made more than $50 total for my music. Clearly I am not a rock star! Good thing I had the brains to realize that.
- My most popular song, bar none, appears to be “Cannonball” which is interesting but somewhat expected. It has over 200 unique plays.
- Of the big players, my music appears to be most popular on Spotify since that is where a majority of my plays appear to be from. Unfortunately, it also offers the least amount of money per stream.
- Most of my listeners appear to be from North America as most of my plays are from the USA and Canada. However, I actually have about 10 different plays from Indonesia. I have no idea how I became popular out there but that works for me. Another distant listener appears to be from Thailand (which may or may not be the Thai exchange student we’ll be hosting in a few months).
- Most of all… my music simply does not interest the majority of the world. I was somewhat aware of this fact but it hurts to see it in print.
That’s all for now! I promise that although I am somewhat sad that my music is not getting much attention, I am not depressed about it, I just wish things were different.
Hey fans! I finally scrambled around and got the video to my remix of the Final Fantasy Prelude uploaded to YouTube. I used a little image editing to nest my logo in a cool Final Fantasy II fan art of Cecil as Dark Knight and Paladin. I think it turned out awesome. Here you go!
Hey there friends! I hope this finds you well. Despite the demands of twin babies, full time employment, transitioning to a new job and various other things, I managed to spend some time in the studio to do a project that is a labor of love. You see, one of my hobbies for many years has been playing video games but when the game systems got more and more complicated and the games longer and longer, I stuck with my NES and SNES games. As a result, I have become somewhat of a retro gamer (see my RGB Blog).
One of my favorite games of all time is the Super Nintendo classic “Final Fantasy II” (FF4 in Japan). It has so many great elements in it that set the stage for so many of the RPG’s to come and really set the tone for the future of the Final Fantasy series as a whole. You can read why I love this game so much by checking out my post about it on the RetroGamer blog.
The first song you ever here… literally the way you are introduced to the game is with a song track that essentially consists of a rising and falling harp arpeggio. This song also plays any time you are in a “Crystal Room” in the game. The actual name per Nobuo Uematsu (the song’s composer) is simply called “Prelude” but it has also been called “Requiem of the Crystals” and even “The Final Fantasy Theme”. It is this song that I have decided to remix.
Please check out one of my favorite remixes I have ever done: Requiem of a Fantasy
